Worlds Largest Block Party 2009
Back
Old St. Pat’s Church, Chicago’s oldest public building and a treasured historic landmark, is the host of the 25th annual World’s Largest Block Party. This event is a party for a good cause and is Old St. Pat’s major fundraising event of the year. Block Party proceeds support the mission and outreach activities of Old St. Pat’s including the Education Center, the Outreach Group, Cara Job Placement and Mentoring Program, Career Transitions Center of Chicago and Global Alliance for Africa.
We need your help! Food Pantries and Shelters are experiencing a larger demand for their services due to the economy and rising unemployment. To meet this growing need Old St. Pat’s is collecting non-perishable food items at the 25th annual World’s Largest Block Party for the Greater Chicago Food Depository, which will be distributed to those most in need. The first 100 people each night to bring a food donation will receive a free hot dog from the Old St. Pat’s Grill. The drop box will be located at the front gate at Madison and Des Plaines. Thank you for your generosity!
Thousands of friendly people will mingle and meet. You must be 21 years of age to attend.
