Visit Chicago’s highest open-air skywalk at The New Hancock Observatory. From the 94th floor, 1,000 feet above The Magnificent Mile, visitors will get to experience the spectacular views, extending to parts of Chicago, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Michigan. After a recent, multi-million dollar renovation, the observatory now allows visitors to venture on to the skywalk. The talking Soundscope, telescopes, offer information in English, German, and Spanish. Sky tours with personal audio highlight the city’s top sites and provide a short historical overview of the city with 16 accounts lasting one to three minutes long.
Historical exhibits like the History Wall provide a more comprehensive explanation of the sites. Another feature, Windows on Chicago, allows users to go on an interactive tour of over 80 Chicago attractions. The Hancock Observatory is clearly, a must see. Just don’t forget to bring your camera!
