Rosehill

On the northwest side, just south of Rogers Park, sit the neighborhoods of Peterson Park, Rosehill, North Ravenswood and Hollywood Park. Combined, these neighborhoods are home to about 73,000 people, mostly living on residential, tree-filled streets. Homes range from around $190,000 to $425,000, but you can also find condos and town homes.
The western edge of the community consists of mostly parks. Peterson Park, in particular, holds special events and has a gymnasium, plenty of outdoor recreational areas, ice-skating, walking paths and playgrounds. The actual 7-acre Hollywood Park has similar things to do and plenty of activities and classes for children. This cluster of neighborhoods also features plenty of dining options.
North Park College and Northeastern Illinois University are nearby these neighborhoods, as well as many public and private elementary and high schools. At Foster and California, you’ll find Swedish Covenant Hospital, one of the best and largest hospitals in the area. Rosehill holds a unique Chicago site; the Rosehill Cemetery is Chicago’s biggest and oldest cemetery.
For transportation, there’s the Ravenswood Metra station. The CTA red and brown lines have stops in the area and CTA bus transportation is convenient. The Kennedy Expressway and Lake Shore Drive are a short drive away, too.
