Englewood is a neighborhood ripe for new growth. Once a crossroad of rail and commerce, this neighborhood is undergoing renewed real estate development. Some homes can be found for under $100,000, but it is more common to find homes between $180,000 and $250,000. Gresham, located just south of Englewood, is experiencing the same new growth as Englewood.

Bordered by 55th Street, 76th street, Halsted and Wentworth, Englewood features plenty of apartments for rent. While most need repairs, some lenders offer incentives for buyers who want to move into the area. Many schools are located in the area, such as Lindblom Technical High School, which has recently updated its equipment and facilities.
