Chicago Bars & Clubs: This Sunday at Double Door: Great Music, Great Event, Great Cause!
by Marisa Ruiz (@MarisaVictoria)
Not sure about you all, but my plan for Sunday 01/29 is to set my DVR to catch the SAG awards while I’m at Double Door for what promises to be a night of fashion, music and hope all in one. No really, the event is actually called that.
This Sunday evening, Seer Outfitters & Black Label Booking welcome you to enjoy A Night of Fashion, Music and Hope with Barcelona. I last caught this Seattle band live at Sub-T a few years back when they played with Low Vs. Diamond (who I’d love to see another record from) and they delivered a solid show. With piano-rock driven melodies and ardent lyrics, the rockers are sure to set a heartfelt tone for a night organized to raise awareness for four charities; Breakthrough Urban Ministries, Brown Elementary School, Life After Hate and the Kyle Korver Foundation. Joining the honorable affair will be The Canes, March of Morn and Chi-city favorites Gemini Club.
If a beloved Chicago music venue and an entourage of philanthropic musicians isn’t enough to sway you, Kyle Korver of the Chicago Bulls will be there to talk about his foundation’s partnership with Seer Outfitters, which gives away 100% of profits to charitable organizations through sought after clothing that bringx all the boys to the yard. Or girls. You know what I mean.
Tickets are just $20 (Dude, that’s like, five bucks a band) and you can claim yours at www.doubledoor.com.
Double Door is located at 1572 N. Milwaukee
Cheers,
