Chicago Bars & Clubs: Broke Hipster at Sound-Bar 11/11/09

What do you get when you mix one of Chicago’s perennial clubs, a Tuesday night, a horde of scenesters, and three hours of free Hornitos Tequila drinks A hell of a lot of fun and a hangover, that’s what. Broke Hipster ventured out to the 20,000-square-foot River North locale last night expecting a decent-sized crowd and some lively tunes. However, the Hornitos “Mischieve in the garden of Agave” event turned into a full-blown party that rivaled the rowdiest of Saturday nights. Tunes were booming courtesy of Jokers of the Scene, Acid Girls, Kid Color, Moneypenny, Hollywood Holt, and Million $ Mano. Also, a with-it crowd mingled and downed cocktails in the roped-off back bar. Spotted on the scene were Steve Reidell (The Hood Internet), Clayton Hauck (everyoneisfamous.com), Jon Marks (Hey Champ), and Drea Smith (He Say She Say), among others.
